Church Hire Fees & Conditions

  1. All prices listed are GST exclusive and therefore will be added to the final invoice.
  2. All hire will be at the discretion of the Church leadership and subject to availability.
  3. Hirers must give reasonable notice, except in the case of emergency.
  4. Payment must be made in full by direct credit no less than 14 days before the hire period begins. A deposit maybe required. A bond may be required. An administration fee maybe charged. No payment, no hire.
  5. Hirers are to exercise maximum safety and security procedures at all times. We will explain these procedures at the time of hire.
  6. Generally, everything is to be left in the same or better condition that it was found
    • Unsatisfactory cleaning and reinstatement will attract an additional charge.
    • We may be able to arrange in advance for a cleaning and reinstatement crew for an additional charge if so desired.

The church and surrounding areas must be left clean and tidy to our satisfaction, including:

Cleaning

    • vacuuming all carpeted floors (chewing gum removed)
    • sweeping and wet-mopping hard floors (including toilet floors)
    • picking up rubbish found in the car-park and on the back lawn
    • cleaning all toilets
    • In all cases, if someone vomits on a carpeted surface, commercial cleaners will be engaged at a cost to the hirer

Reinstatement

    • auditorium seating being in place, rows straightened according to floor markings
    • all items moved, returned to how and where they were found
  1. The hirer is responsible for providing their own rubbish bags and removing all their rubbish when they leave, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Rubbish left behind will attract an additional charge.
  2. Report any breakage or damage and arrange for payment.
  3. Do not tamper with wall fixtures. Use only "blutac" on the walls.
  4. Do not use church equipment without prior permission. This includes technical equipment and instruments.

    Reasonable use of the sound system is generally included in the hire. However, permission is subject to satisfying us that the intended operator is competent. While we have a pool of technicians we can approach, we cannot guarantee their availability.
  5. No smoking or alcohol allowed on the property.
  6. There is to be no food or drinks in the auditorium without express permission, except enclosed water bottles eg Pump water bottles.
  7. Hire allows:
    • Use of the hall and amenities but not of the kitchen unless pre-arranged or otherwise specified.
    • One locking and unlocking of the premises which is included in the hire price during normal business hours (8.00am-5.00pm).
    • Access to allow for equipment to be set up, etc., which will be:
    • by mutual agreement at a time deemed suitable to the Church
      • charged for if in addition to locking and unlocking for the actual event.
        Please contact the church closer to the date to arrange such access if it is required.
      • Additional visits to lock or unlock which may be charged per visit according to the attached schedule.
  8. All hirers must provide proof of public liability insurance with a minimum of $2,000,000 cover.
  9. Variations to the General Hire Conditions will be decided on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Church leadership and subject to reasonable notification in writing.

Hire Policy

  1. We only hire the church facilities and resources to those individuals and organisations whose beliefs and intents are not inconsistent with those held by the church.
  2. The auditorium is only available to Christian, charitable and community orientated individuals and organisations.
  3. Secular organisations and businesses, at the discretion of the church leadership, may hire other rooms in the church.
  4. Hirers are welcome to bring in their own production equipment upon application.

Wedding/Funeral Hire Policy

  • The church facilities and resources will only be hired to those individuals who have an association with the church.
  • The church facilities and resources will only be hired to couples whose wedding service, organisation’s beliefs and intents are not inconsistent with those held by the church.
  • Hirers are welcome to bring in their own production equipment upon application.
